SCSC #69 Tones of One Colour Plus White

Hi everyone, its Saturday so that must mean its time for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.  I have been soo looking forward to posting this card!!  It's set by my lovely teamie Cathy who wants to see monochrome - tones of one colour plus white.  I LOVED this challenge and opted for browns with white.  I'm really chuffed with the end result.  I've used one of my new stamps and had a friend in mind who, like me, LOVES cocker spaniels.  She hasn't been well lately, though has just acquired a new puppy....... who is running amok lol!  I couldn't resist placing some little paws trampling in the flowers.

 

I have added glamour dust to the flowers and some little clear stick pearls (from stash) onto his collar for a bit of added bling.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #68 DT CARD

Good morning everyone, hope your all well........and warm!!  Its been FREEEEEEZING here and we have a covering of snow!  We'll have less of that thank yer very much........bring on the sunny warm days!!

I'm feeling a wee bit giddy today!  We've lived in our current home for nearly seven years now, put in a new kitchen in that time and most of the rooms have been decorated twice......apart from our bedroom, which has never been touched.  Today - its all going...... the wallpaper, the foul brown carpet and the 1980's built in wardrobes are all getting ripped out......YYAAAYYYYYYY!!  Can yer tell I'm excited?

Enough of that though and onto todays card.  It's set by my lovely teamie Wendy and this weeks theme is....

"H E A R T S"

I've teamed pinks with chocolate for this, its one of my favourite colour combi's at the moment!  What do yer think?  The heart buttons I made using a heart punch and some eyelets.  The sentiment I created on the lappy but I can't remember which font I used - sorry!

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #66 DT Post

Hi everyone,  have you all waved goodbye to the snow?  Glad to see the back of it I am, and looking forward to the first signs of spring and longer days!

We have a real fab fun challenge over at the Secret Crafter this week, set by Gina, the theme is  "MUSICAL". We want to see anything music related, it could be the image, papers or embellies.  I had fun with this and it was a great excuse to use my cute little hedgie stamp!

I have layered him up but don't think the pic shows that off!  His rose, its leaves and the guitar are also layered - I lost the first little pieces I cut out to layer curtesy of Harry, one of my cats. He started pestering me for a bit of fuss - swiping stuff on the floor then returning to sit directly on my work in progress LOL!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #65 A SKETCH

Hello there everyone!  Hands up all those getting fed up with all this snow now!  The children are still loving it though disappointed their school has stayed open - so far!!  It's quite nice when walking the dogs, but REALLY not looking forward to travelling in it if the doc lets me go back to work on Tuesday!  I have been a bit naughty whilst off work - done a bit of on-line crafty shopping, medicine for the soul  (LOL!)  - can't wait to see my new goodies!

I'm really excited today, and just a tad nervous too LOL!   I'm here for my first EVER, DT project - WOW!  I've only been blogging since October and I'm soo chuffed to be joining the highly talented ladies over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge!   This weeks challenge has been set by Jane and she's come up with a rather fabby sketch!

I decided to use one of my favourite pixie chicks charmed downloads as I thought she'd be perfect for this.  I decided to use an 8x8 card for this but then had a bit of trouble with the oval due to the larger size!  I ended up drawing around the base of my egg basket, cutting it out and layering onto white cardstock which was then hand cut to size.

Isn't she lovely!  I decoupaged her wings and the flowers in her hair.  Glitter was applied to her hairband, wings and some of the flowers.

First Card of 2010 and some News

Good evening everyone.  Has life settled back down again after all the festivities?  We took our deccys down today, it feels like we have loads more room now LOL!  Have been busy on this little blog today and made several changes.  However my blog lists playing up so will have to look at that!   Still working on the loan laptop and am REALLY missing my own machine!  Hopefully it will be returned all fixed later next week - fingers crossed.  As some of you know, I went through FOUR laptops last year.  This loan laptop has kept crashing on me since yesterday so who knows - I might be on the start of breaking last years record!!!!  I just look at them and they break LOL!

I had a wonderful e-mail last night inviting me onto the DT over at The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.  Of course I snapped their hand off, but I did wonder if they'd gotten mixed up with someone else LOL!  I am sooo excited to be working with such a talented bunch of ladies - my first DT call - SCARY!!!!

I used on of my favourite but recently neglected stamps for this.  The large flower is new as is the ribbon bow flower in the centre.  Coloured with chalks, copics and my new set of watercolour pencils - yes, I'm an old fashioned gal at heart!  The sentiment is also new.
