Fussy and Fancy Sketch

Hiya everyone.  We have a sketch for you over at Fussy and Fancy.....

Here's how I put it to use....

The image is from a new digital stamp collection designed by Natalie Michalski for Whimsy Stamps.  Moon Cookie Gallery offers vibrant, whimsical digital images that are really fun to work with.  This image is called "Sweet Treats - Strawberry Sundae" and is available HERE from Whimsy Stamps.

I've used sentiment ticket stamps and the ticket die, both available from the Whimsy Stamps Store.

Eyes Down!!!!

Hiya everyone.  We have a BINGO challenge for you this week over at Totally Papercrafts.

I've used this rather gorgeous digital image by StampArt Design titled "Raggedy Girl - Adorably Yours (pigtails)" .  She is available exclusively from the Whimsy Stamps store HERE.

She's just soo sweet and fabulous to work with!  I've gone for a diagonal line.....gems, flowers and die cuts.  The sentiment is a whimsy stamp from RaindropEcho's Friendship Ticket Sentiment Collection (available HERE), used with a Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Ticket Die (available HERE).

May Sneak Peeks Day 2 - Crissy Armstrong Collection

Today is Sneak Peek Day 2: Crissy Armstrong rubber stamps.  I've chosen to use the new Mystic image.  I love this little unicorn and I've been waiting for something like this to use with my pearlescent multi coloured papers.

Anniversaries

Hello everyone.  Finally got round to sorting my blog post out - better late than never eh!  Bloggers been leading us all a merry dance though this last day or two so at least I'm not alone lol, lets all hope its fixed now.

I'm getting gradually back into cardmaking after my recent sabbatical.  Have to say HRT is powerful stuff, I'm even back to cracking the whip at home to get Pete to get jobs done around the house hahahha.  Today he's done some brickwork around the fireplace in the dining room - tomorrow he's plastering it!!  Oooh it does feel good to be boss again, makes for a match made in heaven rofl.

I have a lovely day planned tomorrow as Pete is home and looking after the kids all day whilst I visit blogging buddy Crafty Emma for a cuppa.  Hope the day ends well too, unlike today when I got rear ended at the traffic lights in the village!  Couldn't believe it, only had the car about 3months as the last one got written off in an accident just before Christmas!!  I couldn't actually see any damage to my car, though the front of the flash BMW that hit me had a rather large dent lol!

My team buddies over at Whimsy have come up with some cracking samples as you'd expect from them - absolutely stunning!!  Here's my humble creation using this awesome lion design by Chrissy Armstrong titled "Courageous Carl".  I couldn't wait to layer him up though I have to say, now I've done it, I'm not sure I like his layers???????

The papers are from my stash and I've had them ages and no idea who there by - sorry!

I've been playing with a fabulous new image by artist Chrissy Armstrong and available exclusively at Whimsy Stamps HERE.  The image is called "In the Doghouse", I just love this soo much, its really versatile. Here's the result of my experimenting......

 

I blew the image right up for this, colouring with copics and promarkers.  My lovely team buddies have come up trumps with some truly awesome designs.  Don't forget to check them out as well see the awesome prize on offer.

Whimsy Sneak Peaks Day 5

Welcome to Sneak Peaks Day 5 of the Whimsy Stamps February Rubber Release.   Today we're showcasing stamps from ALL four artists releasing rubber stamps this month - Chrissy Armstrong, Meljen's Designs, RaindropEcho Designs and Kenny K.

Today I'm sharing a stunning rubber stamp set by Chrissy Armstrong and to do this I've TWO cards.  I've been on the lookout for a really lovely floral stamp for a while now, there's some people that sending cute images too just wouldn't work and.......... I wanted ELEGANCE!.......and boy did I see it as soon as I set eyes on this fabulous set, they have proved themselves to be as versatile as I thought they would be!!

Called "Darling Daisies" the set comprises of a group of three daisies and one single daisy, together with an ornamental flourish and FIVE beautiful sentiments.  The stamps themselves are highly detailed, deeply etched and an absolute JOY to work with.

For my first, card using the set of three daisies,  I decoupaged the flowers adding touches of glitter and applied diamond glaze to the stems and leaves for added dimension.

 

As you can see, I been indulging my love of nesties lol.  The background I created using a stippling effect with three shades of grey copics.  The DP is by Basic Grey.  The ribbon, brad and gems in the corner are from my stash.

For my second card, out came the nesties again lol.   I used the single daisy from the same set initially then decided to include two of the flower heads from the stamp showcased above.  I also opted to combine with one of the gorgeous sentiments to give you further glimpse of what you'd be missing out on.......

Some grey colouring and a smattering of Glamour Dust glitter to the petals and diamond glaze again applied to leaves and stems to give them a little more protection. I've added a single gem at the bottom of the sentiment.  My aim on this card was to really show the beauty of these stamps by themselves.  I hope I've achieved this and done Chrissy proud.

Love is in the Air

Evening everyone.  Love is definetely in the air in blog land and I wanted to get in on the action, its a while since I've created a card purely with challenges in mind.  I've broken away again from my usual style though it is a style I enjoy.

I've used two new digi hearts by artist Chrissy Armstrong for the background.  The are new having only been released on the 1st of this month and are available from Whimsy Stamps HERE. 

I do apologise for the pinkness of the white.  My daughter dropped my pro camera yesterday and it won't focus at all now so I'm having to revert back to my old small one - just hope mine can be fixed!

 

I used a fabby digi sentiment, by Anne Vento of Raindropecho Design and available from Whimsy Stamps HERE.   I have to say it was a difficult call to make in which of Ann's sentiments to use, there really is one to match every mood within every occassion!

I used my trusty nesties and did a bit of matting and layering and kept the embellies to a minimum but with a bit of bling.

Whimsy Stamps February Rubber Release Sneak Peak Day 3

I have my second card to show you in preparation for next weeks rubber stamp release.  Here is  "Uptown Angel", a sassy young lady, just ideal for my 10year old daughter and all her friends - she is just inundated with birthday party invites at the moment, so this ticks another one off the list lol..

I used some lush papers from the Pulse Collection paper pad by Prima Marketing.  Just loved the graffiti in the background!  I coloured with copics, promarkers, watercolour pencils and sansadoor.  I used my sizzix flourish and corners along with an MS border punch and a little bit of bling.  I raised the image for depth and interest.

The flowers, brad and charm is from my stash.

The sentiments are from the Wild Side Ticket Sentiments, which are in digital form and available now from Whimsy Stamps.  I used them together with my  Whimsy ticket die, designed specifically for use with both the digi and rubber sentiment ticket stamps.  I LURVE it soo much!!!

Now I was soooo spoilt for choice when deciding on what to showcase over these five days and unfortunately don't have time to join in each day of fun!  Tomorrow I'm at work and have nothing to show myself but PLEEEASE check out the Whimsy Inspirations Blog where some of my DT buddies will be there for Sneak Peek Day 4: Sentiments and Dies!

Whimsy Wonders

Hello, I've been hard at work in my dining room crafting - there's steam coming off my fingers I'm sure lol.  Can't wait til Pete starts building my garden office next spring - I'll never leave it hahaha.  Children are returning to school tomorrow after the summer break and I'm returning to my 'happy place', after the chaos that is summer childcare lol!

I've been playing with some of my favourite Whimsy images this morning though to be honest, it's really difficult to choose one as they're all superb and I love them all!!

The images on both cards are by Whimsy artist Chrissy Armstrong.  The first image used is called "Hang in There".

I've combined BG papers with black cardstock and decoupaged the image a little.  Sparkle is added in the glitter on her dress and the pearls add some shine. I used my Leone Em leaf punch.  The flowers, ribbon and lace are from my stash.

Don't forget Whimsy Stamps are releasing the most gorgeous custom rubber stamps on Wednesday!!  There are going to be 35 separate designs, so far there, in 5 different categories: Frames, Simple, Animals, Zodiacs, and Whimsy Characters  There is also an "Address Stamps" category with 3 different choices of address labels: one with 3 lines, one with 4 lines, one with 5 lines. These address labels will let you choose a graphic and let you input all your necessary information.  After finally deciding on the design I'm now eagerly awaiting its delivery.  Here's pic of the proof sample of what my stamp will look like...

I've been playing with one of the new digi images released by Whimsy this month, the Rose Butterfly which is available HERE. 

 This is such a beauty to work with, I couldn't resist glittering it up a bit.  I'm going to save this until Christmas - a birthday card for my MIL, I think she'll really like it!  I've used BG Boxer Papers and cardstock from my stash.  The sentiment was done on my lappy and also edged with glitter as was the border, topper and card itself.  The gold pearls are from my stash also.

Whimsy FREEBIE and A Card for Michelle

Hiya everyone.  I have a very special project I would like to tell you all about today.  Recently, fellow blogger and Spoon Full of Sugar and Just Magnolia Challenges Design Team Member, Michelle Oatman, (aka blog Donkey Smiles), was seriously injured in an accident on her farm. This accident resulted in the loss of her right eye.  Michelle has a very long road to recovery ahead of her as she learns to live her life with only one eye. She will have surgeries and continued care and therapy as she continues to heal.

My Whimsy DT buddy Debbie has organized a card drive in honor of Michelle which starts today on the Spoon Full challenge blog. The members of ASFoS
and JM along with some guests will take part in sharing their cards and asking
others to make a card or donation for Michelle.

There are many generous sponsors helping out with this event, including Whimsy Stamps.  One of their Designers - Melissa, has created a totally adorable donkey image and Ann, another talented designer from the Whimsy family, has created some super cute coordinating sentiments.
