Penny Black at Allsorts DT Call

Good morning everyone, we have gorgeous sunny weather here in East Yorkshire this morning and its sooo warm - luvverly!!!!

On doing a spot of blog hopping the other I came across a new monthly challenge, Penny Black at Allsorts, they have a DT call out alongside their current challenge which you can read all about HERE

They have a fab challenge at the mo which was well worth joining in just for that and the challenge is......

"GLITTER and GLITZ"

I love my Penny Black stamps, as some of you know - I have quite a collection lol, so there's no way I could pass up on the opportunity to join this very talented team.  When I first started blogging in October my blog was full of those fun PB images but they've become rather neglected this year.  Making this card was like meeting up again with a long lost and trusted friend lol!!!!

I've glittered around the white edge of the topper and all over the parcels.  I also added stickles to create the icy snow.  I've attached a papermania snowflake brad to my snowflake punched shapes and clear gems to the corners of the card.

I'm also entering this card into the following challenge...............

The Sweet Stop - Sketch

The Pink Elephant - Ribbons and Sparkle
Creative Craft - Transport
My Time to Craft - Glitter and Glitz
Creative Card Crew - Sparkle and Shine
ABC Challenge - B is for Blue
Crafty Ann's Challenge - Christmas in August

I hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the day.  Happy crafting.

Two More Cards

I'm back with a couple more challenges.  It is lovely making cards and sticking em straight on me blog rather that storing em for DT's - I always fret that I'm gonna click "publish" on the wrong card lol!

My first card is for the following challenges

The Pink Elephant - Nature (rain)
Sophisticats - Raining Cats and Dogs

I used glamour dust for the rain and along the ground I used touches of stickles.  I'd not used this before but I do love the effect.  Reckon this'll be appearing on a few more of me cards!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

My next card is for the following challenges;

Penny Black - Check it Out
Magical Crafts - Animal Antics

Thanks for stopping by!  Feel free to leave a comment so I know you've been and can return the favour.  Enjoy the rest of your day and happy crafting.

Take care

Three Cards and Four Challenges

Hi everyone.  OMG, can't believe its been almost a week since my last post!  Been quite busy this week yet don't seem to have accomplished much lol!  Today I've kicked back and made some cards to brighten the day.  We've had rain, icy sleet and snow today - it's blummin freezing!!  Like everyone else I know, I can't wait for spring to arrive!  It was also nice to get in some practice with my new copics and promarkers - I'd love to know your thoughts cos I think my shadings terrible - not keen on the monster itself, think I need to buy more copics to get closer colour matches (but not til Harrogate show lol!!)

This first card is for Ethan's friend who will be seven next week and its for

 RECIPE

Stamp - Victoria Case
Papers - Basic Grey (marrakech) from Secret Crafter
Cardstock - Stash
Charm - Hobbyhouse
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Brad - stash
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This next card is for my mum's best friend and is based soley on the Daring Cardmakers Challenge.  Their challenge this week is "Here Comes the Sun" and so want to see lots of red, orange or yellow OR lots of circles or rays - anything really that says sunshine to you!!  Well I think I got a bit carried away in my eagerness to see some sun - the only thing missing is the rays!!

As I was reading their blog today I could hear the song "Mr Tambourine Man" on the radio, this just reminds me of long summer days and picnics for some reason!  With that in mind, I just HAD to make this little number - then had to reach for me shades LOL!  I can't find the pad for this one now, I think its another one from Basic Grey.

RECIPE

Image - Charmed Download
Flowers - Prima
Ribbon - Stash
Brads - Stash (I think papermania)
Butterfly - Papermania

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My last card today is for the lovely ladies at Totally Papercrafts who have a sketch for us this week.  I have added a charm on a chain  and I LOVE it!!  Which is probably a good job cos I bought a fair few a couple of weeks ago and have spent some evenings this week putting  them together lol!  I haven't put the top flowers in exactly the same place as I didn't want anything to get in the way of the chain so I hope thats ok!  Oh, and I had a bit of a lapse with the trimmer and cut the panels a bit too short - hence I ended up staggering them to avoid losing them behind the image duh!!   This card is for my favourite aunt and uncle "The Chris's" who celebrate their wedding anniversary next week.

I'm fairly pleased with my shading here but, as they say, practice makes perfect!

RECIPE

Image - Lily of the Valley
Papers - Basic Grey (Bittersweet)
Cardstock

Flowers - Prima and Hobbyhouse

I've some more cards to post tomorrow including a nice bright card for Mr Chris' birthday!!

Thanks for stopping by my crazy little haven here in cyberspace.  I hope you like what you see.  Take care and happy crafting.

A One in Seven Card

Good morning everyone.  Brrrr, we had a really heavy frost last night, it's still quite cold but we now have bright sunshine!  I feel reassured that spring is just around the corner.

I've made a card today for one of Emily's friends, whose mother is frantically preparing for her daughter's ninth birthday - party in their home.  Think she is very brave opening up the house to quite a lot of 'tweenagers' lol!

I used the sketch over at Allsorts for this.  I am not entering this in their challenge as I've already put in my entry.  They do not want links with other challenges for this one as they have a DT call out.  So, if you have time, why not take a look over there.

Cute Card Thursday - Bloomin Gorgeous
Dutch Dare - Summer in Winter
Pile it On - Enough of Winter Colours
The Pink Elephant - Your Favourite TPE Challege (mine is
#51 Polka Dots, a Bow & Pink)
Saturday Spotlight - Bigger is Better (Flowers - 4 on each)

This was a fabulous sketch to work with and I love this new image and girly papers, which are quite summery too.  There flowers are each made up of four which is a bit OTT for me, so hope that satisfies all the briefs!

RECIPE

Image - Mo's Digital Pencil
Colouring Mediums - copics and watercolour pencils
Papers - Basic Grey
Cardstock - Sizzix
Flowers - Prima
Bow - ribbon from stash
Glitter - Glamour Dust
Card Candy

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your day.

Birthday Card for a One Year Old Boy

For this card I've used a rather neglected wood mounted stamp and combited it  with my new basic grey papers for

Mojo Monday - Sketch

Basic Grey - Photo Inspiration

Colour Create Challenge - Colours (Kraft, Blue and White)

Susies Sassy Challenge - Card for a Boy / Option of an Animal

The Pink Elephant -"Birthday"

I love this color combi and the sketch worked brilliantly as the stamp is quite large and I didn't want a fussy layout as its for a boy........yes I know he won't understand as he'll only be a year old, but I'm practicing my card making for the males in my life as there are LOADS in my family and I am determined this year to make a birthday card for EVERYONE in the family this year so all my DT and challenge cards get used up lol!

RECIPE

Stamp - Inca "The Old Rocking Horse"
Papers - Basic Grey
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Colouring Mediums - watercolour pencils and copics
Flower - Prima
Ribbon - stash
Card Candy

Thankyou for stopping by, it's now 1.15am and I'm finally cream crackered lol, so nighty night.  Take care
