Dottie's World

Morning all.  Is everybody settled back in usual routine now?  I got all my craft stuff back outta the loft yesterday but I am still without my own laptop and all my digi's are on it.  Should be safe as its just a little pin in the power inlet bit that snapped.  I shall be backing it all up when it comes home!  I am missing playing over on DW then discovered some images printed and left over from Emily's craft party in October - YIPPEE - I can come out to play !!

This challenge was set by Adele and this is what she had to say........

As we have entered a New Year I would like you to look back at your "Crafts of the Past" dig out something from your stash, blow off the dust and put it to use with a new item that you have recently bought or been given as a pressie! As long as you use a Charmed Download, the rest is up to you.

I have lots of stash that needs using up, particularly the scrapbooking sort and my NY crafty resolution is to crack on and use up the 2 boxes of  12x12 papers I have and fill all the several currently empty albums.  So... to get me head "in the zone" I wanted to not only blow the dust off this stash but I wanted the card to actually resemble the past, as a heritage page.

I know just who would love to receive this too with all the little details.  Under the photo frame and tucked slightly under the script paper is some little letters with buttons and a stamp printed on them!  This and the London date stamp were cut from some K&Co papers

After colouring the image with my new watercolour pencils (yes - I'm an old fashioned gal), I  felt like a crafty sinner - as I then scrumpled the image up lol!  Then just to age it a bit more (and because I was enjoying feeling naughty maybe a bit too much LOL), I chose a selection of inks and dabbed them over the whole image!   I then considered aging it some more with the cooker hob - but I nearly took me eyebrows off last time I did that!

RECIPE

Image - Charmed Cards and Crafts (new)
Papers - Basic Grey (new)
Script Paper - K&Compay (old)
Cardstock - stash (old)
Black Lace - stash (old)
Button - stash (old)
Grandma sticker - 7gypsies (I think and old)
Ovals - nesties (new)

I hope you're all well and had a great Christmas.  Happy new year to you all.  Take care and thanks for looking
