Hello everyone. I've another challenge today from Secret Crafter Saturday. Set this week by my lovely teamie Christine, and we want to see
M U L T I F O L D S
This is what I created...
Front View, the topper is made separately as with any other card.
SideView. I placed decorative papers in the side panels and used them as a backdrop for some fantastic mult-fold ribbon I've had in my stash. Not sure where the ribbons from!
I've popped in this rear view image as its easier to see the folds from the back - 4 vertical and 4 diagonal.
I am going to attempt to explain how I made this, so here goes:
1. Get a piece of A4 cardstock and cut it down to 10 x 29cm.
2. Next you need your scoring board and I've put numbers on mine to highlight this bit......
Place the card on the board with the narrow edge to the side, make the first score on the second line and the second score along the fourth line. Next turn the card around so the opposite side can be scored the same way.
3. You will end up with a larger, slightly rectangular shape in the centre. In that centre panel put pencil mark on each outer edge to mark the centre of that panel. I did this by eye but you could use a ruler if you wanted to be abit more precise!
a. Top of line 1 to the bottom centre
b. Bottom of line 1 to the top centre
c. Top of the Centre to bottom of line 4
d. Bottom of the Centre to top of line 4.

I've marked the centre of the centre panel and numbered the 4 score lines you've just done. Next, you need your score board to make the diagonals;
a. Top of line 1 to the bottom centre
b. Bottom of line 1 to the top centre
c. Top of the Centre to bottom of line 4
d. Bottom of the Centre to top of line 4.
Next the two outer creases are folded up towards you. Lines 2 and 3 are folded the same way and pushed inwards so the diagonals pop up! This is displayed well on the side view photographs!
I then decorated with papers from Making Memories and folded ribbon. The topper was placed on the front panel and I used a Penny Black stamp with copics and water colour pencils. The sentiment is one of a set of stamps from Papermania.
So thats it, hope I've explained it ok, I've been worrying a bit about the best way to do that bit lol!
We'd love to see you over there and it'd be wonderful if you could join us. My teamies have come up with some cracking makes and shapes so don't forget to check them out too. Ooh, and don't forget if you enter, you will be eligible for entry into the monthly draw over at the Secret Crafter shop where the prize will be either something from the shop OR a £20.00 voucher!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend
