DT CARD Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #72

Hi all, gosh we're having some awful wet weather here in the UK.  Despite that, we're all ready for the weekend!!  That means time for another challenge over at the Secret Crafter.  Set by my wonderful teamie Donna, who has chosen the theme of

S T I T C H I N G

This can be faux or real but should be visible on your card.

I struggled with this at first as my mojo just up and left and I really didn't like my first effort!!  Eventually, I came up with this little number and I'm much more pleased with the end result.

I hand stitched around the image to form a little frame.  The thread I used has quite a sparkle to it though this photo just doesn't do it justice! I used a punch along two edges of the lighter paper which allowed me to weave the ribbon in and out.  I think this works well with Donna's theme.  I've stocked up recently on papers.  Wendy, over at the Secret Crafter Shop has a fabulous range of basic grey papers - which I love.  I was like a kid in candy store rofl!  These papers are from the Boxer collection and they are GORGEOUS!  Almost don't want to use them - just look at them and touch them instead lol!  Think I'll be getting more of these.  I stocked up a bit on flowers too and I have to say -the delivery time was very impressive as the UK was thick with snow a few weeks ago, and I still got next day delivery!  Way to go postie!!

This is the first card I used my new copics and promarkers on, what do you think?   - more practice required I reckon!
