DT Make, Secret Crafter Saturday #73

Good morning everyone, hope your all well and enjoying the weekend.  Haven't got much planned for it myself apart from housework and maybe a bit of crafting if I can squeeze it in!  Pete's working away and he has the car so I can't really get out of the village...well I could, but the bus takes forever and the train fare for the kids and I are extortionate!

The weekend means only one here, and thats Secret Crafter time!  Thankyou to all who took part in last weeks challenge, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your fabulous stitching - all so different and very creative!

We have some exciting things happening over at the Secret Crafter Shop at the moment and are just bursting to tell you!  For now though, I've just got one thing to say.....WATCH THIS SPACE!!

Our Challenge this week over at SCSC is

S H A D E S   O F   G R E Y

We want to see your creations in shades of grey only. You can use anything from black through greys to white. The only colour we will allow is for skin/hair etc.

As soon as I saw this challenge I knew immediately what I would do!  As I am wanting to scrap the many photos stored on my lappy, I knew a layout using two black and white pics from my wedding to Pete a few years ago would be perfect!

I love these photos.  My daughter Emily, has the longer, darker hair and is with her best friend.  They were both only four years old at the time - they'll be ten this year, OMG where does the time go?

A friend of mine made their dresses and around the bottom the fabric was gathered and secured with a bow - hence the embellie, the only difference being the were actually burgundy.  I did save the label from the designer paper when I cut it but, I've lost it...sorry, and I can't remember whose it was!  The metal lettering I've had for ages and I'm sure it was a freebie from way back, I think from Scrapbook Inspirations.  For the lettering I used some chipboard letters from K&Co as a template on some white cardstock.  The white cardstock has been put through a cuttlebug using Swiss Dots embossing folder

RECIPE

Black Cardstock - Bazzill Basics
Dp - Stash
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Flowers - Prima
Chipboard Corners - Doodlebug (I think!)
Pearls, spacer, brad, ribbon and bows - stash

Thankyou for stopping by.  Please take time to visit my teamies, they have excelled themselves again this week.  We'd love it if you could join in the fun and don't forget you'd be automatically entered into the monthly draw, with a chance to win a prize of either something from the shop or a £20.00 voucher to spend in the shop.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.  Happy crafting.
