DRAGON BABY 2005

Morning everyone, hope your all enjoying a lovely weekend.  I went out last night with my teamie and SIL Jo along with our other halves.  We used to go out a lot together at one point but now none of us really get to go out much.  Still Pete fell asleep on the way home, insisted he wasn't tired when we got in and put on a DVD to watch - before promply falling asleep five minutes into it!  Some things never change rofl.

So I'm typing up this post at 2 in the morning for a scheduled post later today at 10am and watching Avatar with my beloved cheerfully snoring in the background lol.

I've been well behind this last couple of weeks and only finished this project an hour before going on our night out!!  I do hope I can be more organized!!

We have another fabulous challenge for you over on Magical Crafts Fortnightly Challenge.  Huge thanks to everyone who took part in our sketch challenge.  This next fortnight we have a colour challenge for you....

 B L A C K   W H I T E   AND   O N E   O T H E R
C O L O U R

Your creation needs to be black, white and your choice of one other colour, different shades of your chosen colour is fine and you can use different colours for skin tones and hair colours.

This week we are being sponsored by our very own DT member Shelley.  The winner will recieve £10 spend in Shelley's online store One Stop Crafts.  Thank you so much Shelley!!

Please check out the fabulous creations from all my lovely team mates, they've really come up trumps for this and here's what I came up with....

This is one of my favourite photos of my daughter, taken a few years ago now.  She was born in 2000, the year of the Dragon in Chinese astrology and an oriental family friend nicknamed her "The Dragon Baby".  She told us it was a sign/year most parents hope to have their children for the respected qualities people born in this sign are said to hold.  I have had the verse for several years and got it from a website on the Chinese year of the Dragon.  I cannot find the site any more.  The verse reads.....

"I am the unquenchable Fire,
The Centre of all Energy,
The Stout, Heroic Heart.
I am Truth and Light"

I have dotted around a few Dragon qualities which Emmy certainly has - Strong, Proud, Stubborn, Bright and Artistic.

RECIPE

Papers - Basic Grey and Far and Away Scrapbooks
DieCut - Nesties
Letter Stickers - Basic Grey
Charm - The Stamp Man
Ribbons - Stash
Dragon Stamps - Oak House Studio
Colouring Mediums - Gel Pen, Watercolour Pencils and Sansodor

We do hope you'll join us for the challenge, as always we look forward to seeing what you come up with, remember we are a multi craft challenge blog so we like to see any craft techniques as long as you stick to the theme.

I'm also going to enter this into the following challenges;

My Time to Craft - Tooo Cute!
Crafty Creations - Around the World
Creatalicious Challenges - "Take a Trip to the Orient - Asian Themed"

Thanks for stopping by as always your comments are much appreciated and I do read every one of them.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
