Morning everyone, I have a special post today as I have just discovered that Whimsey Stamps has a DT call out - WHOOO HOOO! They have THE most fabulous stamps available - gorgeous images and THE best quality rubber stamps I've ever used. I am REALLY not exaggerating when I say they are a joy to play with. They are also now venturing into the digi arena and have some stunning images on offer. I purchased some last night so watch this space for some makes with them.
Anyone can enter the DT call, all you have to do to apply is post a message on your blog about the DT call and share 3 of your best creations in the post. You can include cards, scrapbook pages and/or altered items. If you have any Whimsy Stamp images on your creations they would love to see them although this is not required. So go on - try out, what have you got to lose?
I struggle to find my best creations as, like most people, I'm my own worst critic!! So I've opted for three of my favourite makes and, as I don't know that I have a particular style as it seems to change, I think these show some variety.
Creation Number 1
This was a matching card and tree decoration I came up with Christmas 2009 using aperture display globes. Below is a side view of the tree deccy...
Creation Number 2
I made this Christmas 2009 too, this time using SIX digital images, no background papers but acetate and flower soft. Here's a close up of some of the detail in the card, it really did look like a winter wonderland...
I have found my third creation even harder to settle on as I wanted to show just a straight forward card. I haven't been blogging long and I'm still developing my style and tend to go through different phases. I am currently working on my colouring and my cards more recently are designed more to highlight the image with the cards themselves not full of ribbons, embellies and bling. This card is very recent and I've used a freebie from Whimsey that you can find HERE.
Creation Number 3
This is a large 8x8 card and I printed the image three times in order to layer it, I couldn't resist blinging up the brolly and adding a spot of sparkly rain and a big puddle! As seen here, I am also into doing more "interesting" sentiments at the moment to add a bit more fun into the mix.
Thanks for taking the time to look. I do hope you like what you see.
