Update on Dylan - and New SCSC Challenge

Hellooooo there.  Thanks for stopping by, I do need cheering up.  Had some sad news this week.  Firstly my little Llasa Apso dog Dylan sadly had one of his eyes removed yesterday.  As some of you know he'd developed an ulcer on the cornea several weeks ago now.  Following a series of aggressive treatments and several ops it was deemed unresponsive to treatment and the likelihood of that changing with if we persevered was remote.  This was definetely the right decision as I worried each time they anaesthetised him due to his age and I know with such a disability just adjust without difficulty.  I did shed a little tear though, I know the kids have since come along but he's one of my original "kids" - my furbaby lol. He is 12years old and we've had him since he was 4months old.    He had to stay in hospital overnight but waiting to hear if they'll let him out today - can't wait to get him home and give him a big cuddle.

Secondly, as you know we had a little car crash four days before Christmas and I've had no car since then.  Got a quote today for the repairs - a right hefty bill - far more than the car is worth so looks like I'll be car less for a couple of months until we can save some money for a new one.  Thats my full set of new promarkers on a backburner and no more crafty spends - oh well, thats life!

***********************

On a lighter note we have a new challenge for you at the Secret Crafter Saturday. This week we want to see

Tons of Texture

I don't know about you but I think I'm slowly getting back into the swing of crafting again after Christmas.  Here's my little creation, bit low on the texture maybe but don't think my mojo had fully picked up speed lol

I used one of my new LOTV stamps here and some rather gorgeous HOTP double sided 12x12 papers I found in my rather large stash.  They could easily have been sat there five years lol - I kid you not.  Does anyone else buy papers that they love and then resist using them - just stroke them instead, or is that just me lmao.

I used spellbinders large circle and large small scallop circle die for matting, colouring the image with copics, promarkers all available from the Secret Crafter along with the flowers.  The card candy and sentiment are by Craftwork Cards.  The flourish is a sizzix die cut and is new - I LOVE IT!!!!!

Remember, by entering the challenge you will be automatically entered into the monthly draw in which you could win something from the shop or a £20 voucher to spend in the shop - happy days!!!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges....

MAWTT - Ring out the Old, Ring in the New
Cute Card Thursday -  Out with the Old (papers) GDT

I'm off to put the kettle on now but I'll be back later with another card and some exciting news - tease or what rofl.

Hugs

Mel X
