Hiya and welcome to my third and final post of the day, I'm running a bit behind now so I apologise. Dylan is now safely back at home. He does look a bit freaky with one eye stitched up and all the fur around it shaved. Big thankyou to my SIL and CYDA teamie Joanne for taking me to pick him up from the vets. He cried all the way home, think it was both his eagerness to get home and the fact we were in Jo's car and not our own - bit strange for him!!! He settled down as soon as we were home and is now curled up asleep in front of the fire and cuddled up with my other dog, Murphy. I'm so relieved he's home. In a few days we can start taking off that horrible lampshade from round his neck - that'll perk him up big style lol.

We have our first challenge of the year from Craft Your Days Away Challenge Blog. We are all feeling fully refreshed and raring to go! This week is the turn of my lovely teamie Liz to set the challenge and she's set a brilliant one to warm up your mojo and break you gently back into the swing of crafting. Our theme this week is.......
Anything Goes
I made this card at the request of a work colleague who needed a retirement card for a male friend of the family. She informed me he liked DIY projects and stipulated the card must have his name on and say 65 somewhere on it.

I think it turned out quite well. The punched edge reminds me of a saw and I am soo loving this particular BG paper, I gotta get more! I coloured with copics and promarkers and used a woodware inverted corner punch. I initially wanted the tabs either side of the image at the top of the card, mimicking his dungarees but that just didn't work. The brads from my stash are just PERFECT with this image. The name plate and sentiment were done on my lappy and I used my large oval nesties. Cardstock is also from my stash.
My colleague was chuffed to bits with it though I've yet to find out if the recipient liked it.
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp.
The rest of the Design Team have created some really awesome projects for this and you can check them out on the challenge blog HERE.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Paper Play - Clean and Simple
Stamp Something - Use a Digi
PaperCutz - Use Metal (brads)
We really hope you can join us for our first challenge of 2011 and can't wait to see your creations.
Thanks for stopping by
