Feeling Old!!!

Hi everyone.  I've got a couple of back to school cards for you today that I did for Emily and Ethan.  OMG I'm feeling old this week.  My eldest, Emily is eleven years old and has started senior school this week - very exciting for her but I feel a bit emotional.   She's growing up so quickly, I feel like I've blinked and missed everything!!!  I even got a tear in my eye on her last day at primary school!!!!  How normal is THAT???   My patch must be ready for changing rofl.

Here's the card I did for her........

She is settling in well and making lots of new friends.  I can't believe how fast she's growing up.  When we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago in Holland, a couple of young Dutch boys about her age came over to her and told her they "fancied" her!!   Her response..........a dismissive wave of the hand and a "whatever!!!".   I found her response hilarious at the time but I've had a sleep since then........God help us......it starts, and she's not even a teenager yet lol.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges.....

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Through the Craftroom Door - Diva or Anything Goes
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
Crafting for All Seasons - School Days/For a Child
Crafty Creations - Back to School
Creative Belli - Back to School

Ethan is my baby and at nine years old, he has two years left yet at primary school.  I can't believe how fast he's growing up either.  I remember taking Emily to school and him being a toddler, throwing THE BIGGEST EVER temper tantrums, to the extent the blumming school crossing patrol lady had to assist me in removing him from laying in the middle of a busy road whilst he had a major hissy fit at two years old!!!! Now, his days of letting me walk to school holding his hand are looooonnngggg gone rofl, though I do ask him occassionally, just in case he changes his mind lol.  Here's Ethan's card..................

I'm entering this card into the following challenges........

Kenny's Krafty Krew - Back to School
Fashionista Challenge - Card for a Child
Love to Create Challenge - Back to School
Make it Monday - Always Anything Goes
Stamp and Create Monthly - Anything Goes
Little Red Wagon - Back to School
My Mum's Craft Shop - Anything Goes
Mo's Digital Challenge - Anything Goes

Seeing as I'm almost redundant where my kids are concerned, I've turned my attention to partying!!!!  I don't know bout you, but since the kids have come along, the majority of my friends now seem to be the parents of the friends my kids made when they first started school. Kids in senior school are more independant and don't get taken to school like when they were younger.  Therefore, us parents have made a pact to stay in touch and we're kicking it off with a little bar-b-q this weekend and we're planning a big party for halloween - whoo hoo can't wait.

We have a long way to go yet before we have a social life to equal that of our children rofl.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  If you're still here at this point, I apologise for my ramblings lol.  I do appreciate you popping in.

Take care and happy crafting.
